We had a perfect Saturday. A morning full of family work projects and an afternoon family outing. We decided to go explore the 4 castle walk near Neckarsteinach. We’ve been to see the 4 castle lighting twice now but had never hiked up to the castles. It was an overcast day but boy did it feel good to be outside again. The kids loved running around, climbing on ledges and climbing up to the highest tower. In the first castle the stairway to the top is so dark you can’t see one thing but the kids thought it was exciting. I’d love to see this view at dusk on a clear day.
Boy are these girls lucky to have such a fabulous big brother. I mean, really, he’s the best.
Hinterburg is the name of the 2nd of 4 castles – but the one we started at first.
