Emily turns Eleven

A couple of cute grins is pretty much all you can get out of this one.  But even without the loud shrieks or gasps to let you know you got the perfect present, we could tell she was a happy girl.  I think she was most excited about her Mary Engelbreit daily Calendar and Book #12 from G&G.  She was excited about getting art supplies, loved getting money in G&G’s card, and graciously tolerated getting clothes.   I just love this girl.

Garden of the Gods and Red Rock Canyon

Boxing Day was a nice day to head to the red rocks.  Beautiful blue skies and warm weather.

After the two hikes around Garden of the Gods we went over to Red Rock Canyon for another hike.  Katie and Chris had explored this area a little during the summer but it was new to the rest of us, and really beautiful.  It was so nice to have good weather for our December excursions.
