All of us matched for church on Sunday. Megan and Avery even had the same dress on.  We have such similar tastes!  The babies looked adorable.  Avery – 3 months old.  Matthew 6 months old.

BYU/Utah Game Day

We were so excited that the Christoffersons would be here to watch the BYU/Utah game with us.  We all wore our Cougar Blue’s all day long with great anticipation.  Adam and Chris golfed again in the morning and when they were done met us downtown Columbus at the River walk where Marilee and I and the kids were already taking tons of pictures and enjoying the Chattahoochee.  A picture on the train tracks is a must… haven't seen a train go by there yet!

Ryan and Annie couldn’t stop throwing the football.  Everywhere we walked they were tossing it back and forth.

Luke would much rather be pushing the stroller than in it…  He was running free all over the place and ran over this grate which made him stop fast and be totally scared.  Soooo funny.

Look at this little Cougar Fan.  Adorable.

This one makes Marilee and I laugh.  Oh what drama we had with these two. Megan instantly took a liking to little Logan.  They were inseparable for the first couple of days, but then in Atlanta Megan decided she preferred almost -12year old Spencer.  Spence was a good sport and allowed Megan to tag along beside him for most of the day.   Oh my goodness, the little hormones this young one has.  Now she is just beside herself with grief because of something Logan did or did not do… like stand beside her too close.  I can’t even remember.  All I know is that Logan is a good man to put up with all of it.  “It’s ok, Megan”  he says as he patiently waits for her mood to swing again.

Once the Dad’s got there we continued to walk along the river, side down the hills with our cardboard boxes… the hill was full of several families doing it… climb all over the statue, have races and take family cougar pictures.  Good times.

To get all the kids off the statue we had them line up for a race. Guess who won this one?  It was Ryan.  He’s a speedy little thing.

Ok, on to the big game… when we got home we fired up the grill for chicken kabobs, made snicker bar salad, strawberry margaritas, and more and turned on the game.  Adam and Chris had so much fun watching it together.  Their actions were almost simultaneous.  It made Marilee and I laugh.   We held a 20-6 lead over Utah entering the fourth quarter but Utah scored 14 points during the last quarter making it a close and intense ending. At one point both boys were standing, (too intense to sit) both let out a yell of frustration and turned and started walking away in opposite directions.  It really was funny. They totally think the same.

By the end of the fourth quarter we were tied 20-20 and had nearly lost our voices.    In overtime, Utah managed a field goal to take a 23-20 lead.   We really needed a touchdown… and we got one.  Max Hall threw to Andrew George, who caught it, amazingly avoided being tackled and ran it in 25 yards for a touchdown and BYU victory.   We were jumping up and down, screaming, hugging and high fiving.  What a game!

We re-watched the ending about four times, amazed by George’s near tackle.  Then we paused the game as George ran it into the end zone for a group picture!!  We are happy Cougars tonight!  Thanks for making the trip you guys.. we had soooo much fun!!

Atlanta Day

Looks cold, doesn’t it?  It was… Adam said Colorado was warmer than Georgia on that particular day.  We stopped for a quick picture outside by the Coca Cola Christmas tree before heading inside.   We enjoyed another day in the Coca Cola Factory.  This was our third time but it is always fun to take people who haven’t been before.  This time we had the MOST entertaining tour guide and could not stop laughing.  He was SO funny.  Always love a picture with the Coke bear.  Always love the ‘Happiness Factory’ movie.  Always love the Coke commercials.  Always love trying coke products from around the world.  This time we tried the new holiday coke… Gingerbread Coke.  Kind of fun.  Chris loved it.  Luckily we were up early and in Atlanta by 11:30am.  We were surprised that there was hardly a line on the day after Thanksgiving… but when we came out the line to get in was a mile long.  Crazy!

After the Coca Cola Factory we walked across the street to Olympic Park.  The little kids played on the playground and the big kids played some more football. It wasn’t nearly so cold with the afternoon sun.  After a little while we were ready to hit the road.  We found a Red Robin on the way home, kind of (small detour through the scenic back hills of Georgia where we got a little lost), and took our time eating great burgers and let the kids have fun at the other end of a very large table.  Good times.  More relaxing and talking, games and movies when we got home.  The kids had an absolute blast together.
