We took a break from the Disney Parks mid week for a little rejuvenation and headed to Blizzard Beach, one of Disney’s Water Parks that came with our Park Hopper Pass. Six years ago we bought 10 day Park Hopper Tickets (10 days in the Disney Parks and 10 days at the Water Parks) which NEVER EXPIRE. They don’t sell them like that anymore but ours still work. Nice to have all of our tickets already paid for. This was the first time we’ve been to one of the Disney Water Parks and we loved it.
Unfortunately Megan got sick and started throwing up in the night. Poor girl. Everyone got some much needed rest when we slept in, but she was still pretty weak in the morning. We carried her into the water park and she rested on a nice shady pool chair with me while everyone else took off for water rides and wave pools – checking in every so often. We missed the Starbucks who stayed back at the resort to use the pool there.
The whole resort was patterned after a winter in Colorado and Surrounding states so we felt right at home… Teamboat Springs raft ride, Tike’s Peak children’s play area, Runoff Rapids inner tube runs, Downhill Double Dipper side by side racing slides, Melt Away Bay wave pool, the Summit Plummet world’s largest free fall body slide, and the Chair Lift up to the top of Mt. Gushmore… The kids had a blast. We brought snacks and enjoyed the great weather until 4:00 when it closed.
Back at the resort we cleaned up, met up with the Starbucks, grabbed some dinner at Pei Wei and went and saw the new Disney Cinderella movie at the theaters. It was so good. Poor Megan was still weak and tired so she only made it through half of it. We’ll buy it for her when in comes out!
