We boarded the ship at about 3:00 and went straight up to level 7 to check out our room. We upgraded our room this trip to a ‘family style corner room’ and it was awesome. Lots of room. So nice. Two nice big windows facing out the front of the ship -- it was really fun to look out the windows and see where we were headed.
Katie and Ryan shared the little nook over there. A bed came down from the ceiling each night to make a bunk for Ryan. It was a great room.
We ate our chocolate covered strawberries – skipped the complimentary champagne and got right into our bathing suits to go enjoy the pool. The weather was nice and hot and during our ‘run’ back to our hotel we had made the decision to head straight for the pool. Ryan and Katie got in with Chris while I just hung out on the chairs. At 4:30 we headed upstairs to the SeaView Café to grab a ‘before dinner snack’… a typical way to start a cruise – overeating right from the very beginning. Chris went and picked up his Cruise Soda Card and thermos and we ate on the deck and watched as we sailed away from Copenhagen.
Dinner was at 6:00. We were seated at a big circle table with two other families… more on them later. We ate delicious food. Oh it’s so fun to be on a cruise.
Katie was SO excited for the show in the theater but it was only an intro of the cruise and we missed it while we were at dinner. Instead we went and checked out the sunset and then went and found a place to play games.
