On Tuesday morning, Grandma, Grandpa, Luke, Matt and I started our trip south with a stop in Stuttgart for the Mercedes-Benz Museum. The perfect outing for Grandpa, right? Fun to see all the different cars. Would have been better with a double stroller and two contained boys but our double stroller recently died and we’re too close to the end to buy a new one. The only car they could touch was outside…
After going through the museum we headed south to Garmisch for our one night stay at the Edelweiss Hotel – my kids’ favorite place to stay. We checked in and and then ate at the pizza place downstairs. Matthew was so funny with the pepper. He poured some in the palm of his hand, looked at our puzzled expressions and licked it giving us an immediate head nod and thumbs up. It was 4 seconds before he was gaging and trying to spit it out but to no avail… It was the funniest thing ever. Those boys are hysterical. We went and got settled in our room. Dad had a headache so he went straight to bed. Mom and the boys and I wandered around a bit, watched the movie downstairs and sat by the burning fire waiting for Chris and the rest of the kids to arrive after work and school. When the arrived Chris took the 5 youngest kids swimming (a must at Edelweiss) while Grandma, Ryan and I played Carcassonne.
