G&G Walton’s Visit–The Schedule and Misc.

It was so fun to have my parents come and stay for two full weeks. 

• SUNDAY -  OCT 14:  They flew in on a Sunday right after Chris was sustained as the Bishop.  They got to see him set apart at the Church and then we headed home, took naps, Grandma played CLUE with the girls and we ate Sandwiches and Chips for Sunday dinner.  Grandpa played trains with the boys upstairs.

• MONDAY – OCT 15: Headed down to the Hauptstrasse to shop and then have lunch with Chris at the Golden Falcon.
• TUESDAY – OCT 16: Grandma, Grandpa, Luke and Matt and I headed down to Stuttgart for the MERCEDES-BENZ Museum and then on to GARMISCH.  Chris and the kids worked and went to school and then met us in GARMISCH.
• WEDNESDAY – OCT 17: We continued on down to Verona, Italy – stopping in CASTELROTTO – a small town at the base of the Italian Dolomites.  Got to our villa and headed out for pizza.
• THURSDAY – OCT 18: Spent the day in Venice, Italy.
• FRIDAY – OCT 19: Spent the day in Verona, Italy.
• SATURDAY – OCT 20: Spent the day in Sirmione, Italy on Lake Garda and then travelled back to Heidelberg.
• SUNDAY – OCT 21: Went to church.  Ryan and Katie went up to Frankfurt to hear President Monson speak.
• MONDAY – OCT 22: Ryan’s big Time Traveler project was due.  Went back downtown Heidelberg to shop and have lunch.
• TUESDAY – OCT 23: STAR GIRL DAY for Katie.  Grandma, Grandpa, Luke, Matt and I spent the day in Strasbourg, France.  That night we went to Ryan’s Court of Honor where he presented an oral report on becoming an Orthodontist for a Merit Badge.
• WEDNESDAY – OCT 24: Grandma, Grandpa, Chris and I spent the day in LUXEMBOURG and stayed overnight. We watched another Sherlock before bed.
• THURSDAY – OCT 25: Spent the day in TRIER, GERMANY before coming home.
• FRIDAY – OCT 26: Spent the day at home… Hiked the Philosophers Way downtown Heidelberg.  Grandma made caramel apples with the kids.

SAT – OCT 27: Grandma and Grandpa headed back to Vancouver.
