Since Heidelberg is closing down the kids got out of school a week earlier than the other Europe/Military schools. Because of the ‘early release’ date that allows families with moving orders to complete the school year a month earlier, the school was pretty empty by the last week. Ryan and Katie both missed a few days that last week which was no big deal. Each school had a closing ceremony, BBQ and field day. Other than that they watched a lot of movies that last week.
Here’s Ryan with his ‘Lion’s Last Roar soccer shirt and yearbook ready for the last day of ninth grade. He didn’t want to miss the last day. Lots of goodbye’s to say and yearbooks to sign.
Katie in front of her Heidelberg Middle School on the last day of seventh grade.
Emily and Megan in front of Patrick Henry Elementary. Emily and Megan participated in the school choir and went to lots of rehearsals the last month so they could learn all the actions to every song and be seated up in the stands for the Closing Ceremony. Katie skipped school to come watch with the boys and I. It was a great Ceremony and the girls did great. After the ceremony Emily and Megan stayed for the school BBQ and field day and both won ribbons for running.
Megan’s last day of 2nd grade. Emily’s last day of 4th grade.
