Animal Safari

With Scott and Dan and families staying an extra couple days we headed out for another adventure... the Animal Safari in Pine Mountain. We hadn't been there ourselves so were excited to check out something new. The best part was that we could rent a 14 seater zebra van so we could all ride through together. We bought our tickets and a flat of food to feed the animals, boarded the beat up zebra van with excitement but not really knowing what to expect. As soon as we moved through the gates animals started to approach the van. They knew it was feeding time and they weren't shy about coming to get it. They stuck they noses right up through the bars of the van and then opened their mouths to stick out their LONG sticky tongues. We squealed, backed away, took pictures, handed out food, put the food right in their mouths, groaned about yucky yak saliva, got the giggles and even screamed a few times as animals drooled right into the van (next to Scott). The whole thing made for quite an exciting ride. The kids loved it... they squished themselves into one of the back rows and eagerly fed the animals and tried to pet them. Luke loved pointing at everything. It was a fun hour!!

That is crazy! Either you drive a long time to get to all of these amazing places or you just scored with being assigned to Georgia. I know around here, plan on driving a minimum of an hour. Unless of course you want to golf, and then 1 minute in all you need. What fun. That would be great to watch on video!

How could you tolerate all those animal tounges pregnant?
