After a long day in Sevilla the day before, it was nice to sleep in, and have a relaxing day close to home. After lunch we drove 15 minutes to Marbella to the beach. The kids were so excited for the beach. We had really good weather for our week in Spain. It wasn’t super hot beach weather but it was pleasantly warm. The water was freezing though so only the big kids dared to get in.
Chris had the big girls and big boys doing relay games like – run into the water to get all wet, roll around in the sand to get all sandy and then go back into the water to wash it off. They were up for the challenge and tried to beat each other. They did several races and it was fun to watch them.
The little boys spend more than half the time playing on the playground.
That night we made spaghetti for the kids at home and then Jared, Geneva, Chris and I went out to eat at a really great Italian place on the beach in Estepona… where our rental house was. It was such good food and especially fun to drive together in one van and leave the 11 kids behind. When we got home we played Hand and Foot again – which was almost a nightly routine. A great day.
