Bad Wimpfen

  I’ve been wanting to check out this cute little town for awhile now.  Bad Wimpfen {pronounced Bod Vimpfen} is only 25 minutes from our house.    Saturday Chris and I slept in, went on a bike ride through our fields, packed a picnic lunch and took the family on a daytrip to explore this little town.  (So nice to have a Saturday to play now that soccer is over!) We found a great grassy park to eat lunch and relax and then wandered through the cobbled streets.  It was very cute.  We loved all the half timbered houses.

       

The town sits high on a hill overlooking this river and valley.   We walked along a pathway on the side of the hill until we came to a city tower, which of course we climbed.

The kids spent summer points on gelato and then we headed to go clean the church, headed to the movie theater to see Madagascar 3 (also summer points) and then headed home.  Fun day.
