Chris decided to take the family out to one of our new favorite German restaurants, Bier Brezel, for his birthday… definitely a treat for everyone since the kids have only been in a sit down German restaurant one other time. {We missed Ryan since he was off with his friends at Scout Camp in Southern Germany.} We ordered Spatzle and Schnitzel and yummy cream sauce and a kase spatzle (cheese noodles) and water to share. Delish!
After dinner we wandered around checking out Beer Steins – one of the things he wanted for his birthday as a souvenir from Germany. He couldn’t quite make a decision because the stores started closing before he could do a comparison so we’ll have to pick it up on another date night to the Haupstrasse.
Back at home he opened up a few of his presents… a new shirt from ESPRIT, some Nike shorts and shirt, a GoPro accessory, some ColdPlay Piano/Guitar music, a Fossil Wallet and a GERMAN soccer shirt.
Trying to blow his candle out and make the kids laugh. I think Matthew had to eventually help him.
