On the night of Katie’s real birthday, just after Grandma and Grandpa flew back to the States, Katie had her girlfriends come over to help her celebrate. She planned the whole thing… all I did was get the ingredients for ‘make your own pizza’s’ and brownie sundaes. They played games, ate pizza, talked and had a plastic bag fashion show, laughed, watched a movie, opened presents and jumped on the tramp. She had a blast.
She was nice enough to let some of her siblings hang out for a few things…
Katie hugging Lindsey… she’s one of Katie’s friends in our ward… actually she’s Emily and Katie’s friend since she’s right between them age wise.
Katie with Emily and Rebecca… her cute twin friends from school. They are such good girls. They were all in the same 5th grade class in Elementary School and just finished their first Middle School year still close friends. These three are always getting the Principals honors awards for their 4.0 and chosen as Student of the Quarter. Good girls!
Left: Katie with Amanda – a friend from our ward and same grade at school. Katie got her penguin at Christmas time and then gave Amanda the same one for her birthday so they could be matching. For this birthday, Amanda gave Katie the penguin wallet that matches the stuffed animals. They are such cute friends. Amanda’s been WAITING for Katie to turn 12 so she could be in YW with her.
Right: Katie with Hanna Chugg. Katie and Hanna met when they were babies while our families were best friends at Medical School in Maryland. Since then they’ve visited each other every year and always stayed close. Now we’re super lucky to have them living only an hour away here in Germany. It’s so fun to see them together… great, great friends!
Left: Katie with Jessica C. Katie met Jessica when she moved into our Georgia ward. I think the first time they really got to know each other was when Katie invited Jessica to her 9th birthday party. They had a fun year being friends in Georgia before we moved to come here. So fun that they’ve moved back to Germany. Now she’s only an hour away too!
Right: Katie with Emma B. Katie and Emma used to go to Preschool together in Washington. They played Barbie's and dress up together all the time when they were 4 and 5. Just the love the military for reconnecting us with all our old friends. Now Emma, Jessica and Hanna are all in the same ward together and carpooled to the party together.
Great friends for this girl… and such a fun night!!

Happy birthday girl! I'm sooo excited that you are twelve now. Your in young woman's! Have you gone to young woman's camp yet? A girl in our ward was really good friends with Jessica and she called Jessica and she said that Jessica came to your party. You looked like you guess had a lot of fun. Miss you guys a lot.
